Rozaini bin Mohd Sani

Chief Financial Officer, Johor Corporation Director, JLand Group (JLG)

Rozaini bin Mohd Sani holds the appointment of Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Johor Corporation (“JCorp”) since 7 May 2020. An accomplished leader in corporate finance and transformation, his relationship and affinity with JCorp and its subsidiaries go beyond his current post as CFO. Between 2014 and 2016, he held the position of Vice President of Finance, and Senior VP of Finance and Corporate Services. Today, Rozaini is also Chairman, Board of Trustees at Yayasan Johor Corporation, which is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Group. 

Rozaini is integral in shaping JCorp’s financial stability and its successful strategic core. His depth of knowledge in financial management across industries helped him develop frameworks to lead JCorp in financial transformation and take on increasingly complex challenges with changing tides in the current business and organisational landscape. 

In 25 years, Rozaini has garnered a prominent reputation as an advisor, strategist and thought leader in the nation’s governance of corporate finance. Aside from present and past directorship appointments and chief positions at Malaysia’s identity-bearing companies in oil and gas, media, property, plantation, healthcare, port and shipping industries, Rozaini is a key figure in the nation as a financial coach, public speaker, an advocate for finance policies, and keynote advisory. His dedication to the professional development of the accounting field is supported by 7 years as Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). On multiple fronts, Rozaini’s widespread and deep experience in his field is an advantage for JCorp to exude its identity as a national and regional influence in economic growth and nation building. 

Besides his roles as CFO and Chairman, Rozaini is a Member of the Tender and Audit Committees of KPJ Healthcare, and a Non-Executive Director of Johor Land Berhad. Prior to JCorp, Rozaini held Non-Executive Directorships at Iskandar Waterfront and Kulim (M) Berhad, and was the Chief Operating Officer at E.A. Technique, a large marine operator supporting the oil and gas sector. He has also held the role of CFO at Astro Malaysia and PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, following managerial roles in business development and internal audit at PETRONAS Group of Companies for almost a decade. Before Petronas, Rozaini was an assistant manager at KPMG Australia for 6 years. 

Rozaini holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance (Merit) from University of New South Wales. He a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
